The problem
Her site died in a hosting move.
Kristin runs an independent practice in Paarl. Her old site went down after a hosting move, the prices on it were two years out of date, and the only way to book was to phone.
What I built
- 01A custom site built from her steampunk logo: the gear-lens motif, and her slate, gold and teal.
- 02Her real prices, up front, in a table patients can read before they walk in.
- 03Online eye-test booking, synced to her Google Calendar so patients only see free slots.
- 04A WhatsApp button on every page.
- 05An eye-chart section that shrinks line by line, the way a real one does.
- 06A plain-language lens guide, in her own words.
- 07Her domain moved to the new site with her Google email untouched.
Results
What I can prove so far.
- The site is live at spectaclefactory.co.za.
- Patients can book an eye test online, at any hour.
- Her email kept running on Google through the domain move.
